Reef Trak ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy applies to our mobile applications on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store).

2. Information We Collect
A. Personal Aquarium Data (Local Only) We value your privacy. The core data you generate while using the app is stored locally on your device.

iOS: Data is stored locally using CoreData.

Android: Data is stored locally using Room Database / SharedPreferences.

What this includes: Aquarium parameters, livestock inventory (fish/corals), and maintenance logs.

Note: This personal data is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly use a cloud backup feature (if available).

B. Feedback & Diagnostic Data (Android Beta/Testing)

To improve the stability of the app, we collect specific data when you submit feedback or run the app during testing phases. This data is stored securely using Google Firebase.

User Feedback: Any text you enter into the "Feedback" or "Daily Prompt" dialogs.

Diagnostic Info: Device model, Android version, Screen resolution, and App version code.

Device IDs: Unique identifiers required to trace specific crash reports or bugs.

C. App Performance & Crash Logs

We use third-party services to monitor app stability.

Google Play Services & Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash reports and performance metrics to help us fix bugs.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

App Functionality: To allow you to track your reef tank parameters and inventory.

Bug Fixing: To analyze crash logs and diagnostic data to repair errors.

Communication: To review the feedback you voluntarily submit.

4. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with trusted third-party service providers required for the app to function:

Google Firebase: Used for database storage of feedback and diagnostics (Android).

Google Play Services: Used for app distribution and error reporting.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain feedback and diagnostic data for as long as necessary to resolve the reported issues.
